Our soil preparation process

Good preparation is the difference between a lawn that thrives and one that struggles. Here’s how we prepare every site before laying turf:

1. We treat existing grass and weeds with Glyphosate, following up with a second application to ensure a clean slate.
2. We rotary hoe the soil to a depth of 100–200mm, rake out dead foliage, level the ground and add organic soil conditioner or Gypsum where needed.
3. We apply a quality turf underlay — a blend of topsoil and organic materials — to give your new lawn the ideal balance of nutrients and minerals for strong root establishment.
